‘Nugget’, Adelong

Location: Adelong Creek Walk, Adelong.

Statement:  ‘Nugget’ is a giant oval ring, symbolic of life. The concrete forms, which have taken on exposed patterns from the earth, where people will be able to stand and sit, combine smooth forms, considered beforehand, that people will be able to climb into. The artist invites people to sit inside the sculpture and look up at the arch towards the sky.

Biography: Peter Lundberg is an internationally renowned and award winning artist. Represented in public collections including Sculpture Fields Chattanooga, Frankfurt, Town of Cottesloe, Thompson Estate Sculpture Collection, Margaret River, Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney and the Harbour Trust, Sydney. Peter has exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 9 times since 2011 and Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 10 times since 2012.


Stage one of the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail was jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Government’s Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
