Statement: The horizon beyond.

Biography: Lubomir Mikle has a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He is an active member of international sculpture symposiums and is represented in public collections including Danubiana Meulesteen Art Museum in Bratislava and ‘Sculpture Encounters – Granite Island’ in South Australia. Mikle has held over 10 solo exhibitions in Slovakia and has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions around the world, including Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi five times since 2015 and Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe four times since 2016. He was the recipient of the Andrea Stretton Memorial Invitation at Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe in 2018 and the Waverley Council Award at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2017.


Stage one of the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail was jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Government’s Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
