Shop Art Projects

The Shop Art Projects are part of the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail which launched on 5 May, 2022 with sculptures in seven locations across 100km of the Snowy Valleys in southern New South Wales in Adelong, Batlow, Courabyra Wines, Johansen Wines, Tumbarumba, Obsession Wines and Tooma.

The Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail is funded by the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund of the NSW government.

Current Shop Art Projects, each in situ for approximately six months, are:

  • Merran Esson – ‘Tumba Tanks’, in Artists on Parade, 13 The Parade, Tumbarumba.  Opening hours vary with the season – currently Thursdays to Sundays 10am – 1pm (however seasonal hours may vary – to check, please visit
  • Elyssa Sykes-Smith – ‘Subsidium Structurae’. 11 The Parade, Tumbarumba. Please view through the shop window.  It may be possible to enter this Shop Art Project if the volunteers next door at Artists on Parade are available to open the shop art project.  Please enquire at the reception desk at Artists on Parade, next door noting they may be busy and unavailable.  Artists on Parade is open Thursdays to Sundays from 10am – 1pm (however seasonal hours may vary – to check, please visit
  • Four Australian Artists in Batlow  – An exhibition featuring artworks by Harrie Fasher, Ron Robertson-Swann OAM, Ayako Saito and Phil Spelman, 56 Pioneer Street, Batlow.  Please view through the shop window.
