‘CAMEL COUNTRY 14’, BATLOW

Location: In front of the Batlow Library, Batlow.

Statement: The earth is full of different countries, races, cultures, natural environments and creatures.  We live on the earth. With our wisdom, tolerance and modesty we should be able to make a harmonised world on this green planet.

Biography: Koichi Ogino was born in Niigata, Japan. His work has been held in numerous group exhibitions in Japan and Australia including Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi seven times since 2004, Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe six times since 2007 and ‘Sculpture Rocks’ in Sydney in 2021.

He received the Grand Prize at the 8th Kobe Figurative Sculpture Exhibition in 1994 and participated in the Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium in the USA in 2012. Ogino’s work is represented in private collections internationally.
