About ‘Tumba Tanks’
‘Tumba Tanks’ were purchased as part of the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail and given on permanent loan to Artists on Parade.
The Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail was launched on 5 May, 2022 with sculptures in seven locations across 100km of the Snowy Valleys in Adelong, Batlow, Courabyra Wines, Johansen Wines, Tumbarumba, Obsession Wines and Tooma. Funding with thanks to the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund of the NSW government.
About Merran Esson
Merran Esson (1950-2022) was born and raised in Tumbarumba, NSW. Merran Esson has been at the forefront of Australian ceramics for many years. She has exhibited extensively in both solo and group exhibitions and had work in many touring regional exhibitions. Her work is represented in many important public and private collections, including the Art Gallery of South Australia, Museum for Kunsthhandwerk und Gewerbe, Hamburg, National Gallery of Australia, Western Australian Art Gallery, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, Geelong Art Gallery, Queensland University of Technology, Australia Council and Qantas.
