“Sculpture by the Sea at Bondi is the mother of all the exhibitions that has broadened our collective minds. While art galleries usually preach to the converted, Sculpture by the Sea was busy collecting a whole new audience, an audience as diverse as the artworks it was displaying. This audience was huge, and in the over twenty years since its conception, we have witnessed a cultural shift in the way Australia sees art and its place in our lives. I am very proud to have played a small role in the enormous success of Sculpture by the Sea.”
