“It has been a pleasure to be a part of Sculpture by the Sea since my first opportunity in 2003. I have loved what it has to offer, an expanse of physical purity that seems to deliver weight to the work, visually and culturally. A vast assortment of minds that probe, educate and eventually direct your attention to that reoccurring question “What am I doing?” Thanks to this unique cultural exercise Sculpture is now very much a part of the psyche of the Australian public and this is a good thing. A fraternity of world class sculptors, sharp of wit and generous with their knowledge and time. Always such a great party … I think I shall apply next year!”
