We are a not for profit organisation presenting Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe as a free to the public outdoor sculpture exhibition. The exhibition is a great place to bring students of all ages to view and engage with the eclectic and spectacular display of sculpture exhibited from 2 – 19 March, 2018.
The exhibition site at Cottesloe Beach has shaded parklands looking down on the beach, making it a suitable location for children to enjoy snack breaks during their visit. For groups travelling by bus, there is a drop-off zone on the beach-side of Marine Parade, along Cottesloe Beach, right next to the exhibition. Given the outdoor nature of the exhibition, we recommend the use of sunscreen and sun hats for all students (and teachers too!).
The Alcoa School Education Program at Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe aims to provide both students and teachers with an informative, stimulating out of classroom experience that will enhance the learning potential for students visiting the exhibition. Our range of Educational Programs encourages participants to explore, examine and discuss a range of creative, conceptual and artistic responses to site and landscape, form and contemporary ideas. It provides unique opportunities to meet and work with exhibiting Artists.
