With thanks to NRMA Insurance, we are pleased to once again offer our School Education Program for Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2026, running from Friday 16 October to Monday 2 November. The program offers unique out-of-classroom learning experiences through artist-led sculpture workshops with opportunities for students to engage directly with exhibiting artists and their work.
A unique opportunity for students to meet and work with a professional exhibiting artist and explore materials and processes involved in creating sculpture through activities based on the artist’s practice. Workshops explore concepts such as relationships with the built environment and the natural world through creative play and experimentation. Students may be introduced to art making techniques using a variety of materials such as clay, wire, plaster, salvaged and recycled material, paper, and natural materials.
Location: Tamarama
Dates: Weekdays throughout the exhibition (16 – 30 October)
Times: 10am – 11.30am; 12.30pm – 2pm (90mins) (two workshops are run in each time-slot)
Cost: $500 per workshop. This includes artist fee and a Kids’ Guide for each student (maximum 30 students in each workshop).
Join us on the final afternoon of installation to preview Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2026 before the exhibition opens to the public. Meet exhibiting artists, explore their work and discover how the exhibition can support learning in and beyond the classroom. Our Education, Access & Inclusion team will be available to answer questions about our school programs and discuss access requirements. The Teachers’ Exhibition Preview may contribute to Elective PD relating to the priority area of the delivery and assessment of the NSW Curriculum.

School groups are encouraged to register their self-guided visit using the link below.
