‘An Intimate Dialogue…’

Location

11 The Parade, Tumbarumba

Artist Statement

This site-responsive installation explores the complex relationships and subterraneous conversations between trees that maintain healthy forests. And celebrates nature’s resilience to the impacts of changing climates and urban developments. This work is inspired by the Canadian forester Dr Suzanne Simard’s research. She describes the forests as vast tree societies in constant conversation with each other.

“Not about saving our tress, its about how our trees save us” Finding the Mother Tree, Uncovering the Wisdom and Intelligence of the Forest (Simard 2022)
