Attention Artists! Bondi, 2015 Call for submissions is now open

Have you ever wanted to exhibit at Sculpture by the Sea? Emerging, established and aspiring artists alike are encouraged to submit for pre-selection in the nineteenth annual Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi to be staged along the coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama in Sydney, Australia from 22 October – 8 November, 2015.

Applications are open now and will close on 15 April, 2015.

Each year we seek to generate artist subsidies and awards, many of which are finalised throughout the year. Last year we secured over $463,987 in cash subsidies, prizes, in kind support and materials for artists. Subsidies and awards confirmed to date for Bondi 2015 include:

  • The Macquarie Group Sculpture Prize of $60,000
  • A minimum cost contribution to each artist of $2,000 (please see the application form for details)
  • Three Helen Lempriere Scholarships of $30,000 each for Australian artists
  • Three Clitheroe Foundation Mentorships of $10,000 for young emerging Australian artists
  • The Wallace Arts Trust New Zealand Sculptor Award for a New Zealand artist of NZ$7,000
  • The Sydney Water Environmental Sculpture Subsidy of $5,000
  • The Dick Bett Memorial Invitation for a Tasmanian artist of $5,000
  • Ephemeral and Site Specific subsidies of a total up to $20,000 to be distributed among selected artists
  • Up to seven international and interstate artist airfares
