Australian artist Johannes Pannekoek talks about his sculpture ‘Lifeblood I’, an exploration of the interconnectedness in nature, drawing inspiration from Earth’s rivers, tributaries, and their ophidian form. The sculpture represents the vital force that flows through all living organisms, inspiring reverence and reflection on our responsibility to protect the lifeblood of our planet’s ecosystems. The work is exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2023. Video by Gareth Carr.
