The music was recorded and uploaded to the Sculpture by the Sea App to be listened to while viewing the sculpture that inspired it.
Sculpture by the Sea has again collaborated with Perth Symphony Orchestra in 2024. Selected Perth Symphony Orchestra musicians have created five-minute musical improvisations inspired by the following five sculptural works from Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2024: Tetsuro Yamasaki, Keizo Ushio, Tim Macfarlane Reid, Tony Davis and Sharyn Egan. Live performances where held on-site adjacent to the selected works at the exhibition on the afternoons of Friday 1 March, Friday 8 March, and Friday 15 March.
Recordings of the 2024 musical improvisations are uploaded here and to the Sculpture by the Sea App so our visitors can listen to these compositions whilst viewing the works if they are unable to attend the live performances or from home.
