This living sculpture, involving blue fabric and performers came alive during scheduled performances as part of Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2020.

A collaboration between Rosalind Holgate Smith, Kieran Mitchell and Katja Keya Richter from Germany, as the KOA Collective, the collective stands for the courage to be present in movement and interactions in public space through dance, music and speech. Koa Art performances bring people together in an authentic collective creation process. The magic creature is a sculpture evolving from different qualities of the humans under the fabric. The creature is a collective being, dancing in the wind. Will you dare to touch it? What if it eats you and you become a part of it?
