Congratulations to Albert Chetcuti, the winner of the Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2018 #sxsmoments Instagram competition. Albert’s photograph beautifully captures John Petrie’s sculpture, ’Space’. Clyde Yee, one of the talented Sculpture by the Sea photographers commented: “The image is perfectly composed with nature providing a fabulous soft moody sky.”
Albert expressed: “It’s an absolute honour to have won the #sxsmoments instagram competition. In my image, I’ve tried to capture the texture and patterns in the polished stone surface of the sculpture, along with the dramatic sky and clouds. It was quite a challenge, as the light was changing constantly, as the morning light punched through holes in the cloud cover, patience was required, as I waited for the first light from the sun to hit the sculpture. This is the third year I’ve entered the competition, but have been attending Sculpture by the Sea for many years.”
As the #sxsmoments Instagram competition winner Albert Chetcuti will join the Sculpture by Seaphotographic team later this year during Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2018.
