This is what some of our judges said about the standard of entries and winning photo:

We were overwhelmed with some outstanding imagery throughout this year’s exhibition… I might be out of a job soon! The finalists’ entries showcase a wonderful diversity in styles, colours and compositions which perfectly encapsulate the spirit of Sculpture by the Sea.” – Jarrad Seng Sculpture by the Sea Photographer & #sxsmoments competition judge.

Amazing images were continually posted during this year’s Bondi exhibition. Twelve worthy finalists but we had to pick one image. It was close! Silvia’s stunning dawn image of Chris Bailey’s “Bondi Points” is a lesson in composition, exposure and being in the right place at the right time. A beautiful winning image and we’re grateful Silvia got up early that day. Congratulations!.” – Clyde Yee, Sculpture by the Sea Photographer & #sxsmoments competition judge.

Upon hearing she had won Silvia Li said, “This year’s exhibition was amazing, I was inspired by a lot of different pieces, that’s why I kept going back for more (and spent 4 sunrises and 1 sunset)!! It really means a lot to me to win the contest because I felt so connected with the exhibition! I’ve never been to Perth before, so I really can’t wait to experience Sculpture by the Sea on the other side of Australia!
