Get along to the final weekend of Macquarie Artist Talks!

Posted: November 4, 2015 / News

If you haven’t yet had a chance to enjoy the free Macquarie Artist talks, get there this weekend from 11am to 3pm at Tamarama Beach and Marks Park. To see the schedule for this weekend, click here.

Remember to look out for this year’s Macquarie Group Sculpture Prize winner, Divided Planet, by German artist Jörg Plickat. The corten steel sculpture, which is on show in Marks Park for the duration of the exhibition, represents the blockages caused by competing governments when dealing with global issues such as poverty and global warming. If you don’t get a chance to see Divided Planet during the exhibition, you’ll be able to enjoy it afterwards, as Macquarie is gifting it for permanent public enjoyment at Headland Park, Georges Heights, set against the spectacular and Middle Head, overlooking Sydney Harbour.
