SCULPTURE BY THE SEA SCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Sculpture by the Sea is committed to making sculpture accessible to a wide range of audiences, including school children.

By developing our programs and resources in accordance with the New South Wales Board of Studies Curriculum and the Western Australian Curriculum Framework, we aim to expand essential skills, knowledge and appreciation of sculpture as a visual art form to teachers and school children of all ages.

Our School Education Programs for both the Bondi & Cottesloe exhibitions involve:

  • Practical Workshops
  • Study Tours
  • Professional Learning Opportunities
  • Online Resources

SCULPTURE @ YOUR SCHOOL

(a NEW out reach program beginning April 2010 in NSW)

This is a unique education program delivering 'hands on' sculpture workshops with professional and experienced Sculpture by the Sea exhibiting artists and education staff AT YOUR SCHOOL.

The program is designed to meet the individual needs and requirements of your school. It aims to eliminate many of the restrictions involved in organising class excursions.

Workshops can be integrated into a national curriculum linked unit of work over a specified time period.
