EXHIBITION CATALOGUES

Exhibition catalogues can be purchased from the catalogue and information marquee set up on the Cottesloe foreshore. The catalogue includes a map of the exhibition and brief information about each sculpture.

There is also a Kids' Guide available designed to help children aged 5 - 11 years old get the most out of the exhibition with fun activities along with an image and the title of each sculpture.

In order to make your Sculpture by the Sea experience as effortless and enjoyable as possible we have compiled some information about the exhibition, how to get there, where to stay and where to go in the local area for food and refreshment.

LOCATION

Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe is staged on the beautiful Cottesloe Beach, Western Australia. The exhibition is featured from the sea wall all the way along the sand towards North Cottesloe and on the surrounding grassed areas creating a beautiful sculpture park.Access to Cottesloe Beach can be made from the ramps or stairs at different locations along Marine Parade.

GETTING THERE

FREE RAIL TO BEACH 'COTT CAT' SHUTTLE BUS

The Cott Cat is a free shuttle bus service that runs between Cottesloe train station and Cottesloe beachfront. The shuttle will meet every train from Cottesloe train station on the Perth to Fremantle line between 10.30am to 5.00pm daily for the duration of the exhibition, and will return to the station from Cottesloe beachfront at 15 minute intervals.

BUS AND TRAIN

There are regular Transperth bus and train services to Cottesloe Beach. For more information on these services refer to Transperth timetables.

INFORMATION FOR VISITING SCHOOLS

Sculpture by the Sea is very school friendly! The exhibition, which is free to the public, is a great place to bring curious students to view and engage with Australia's premier sculpture exhibition and spectacular Cottesloe Beach.

Kids' Guides to the exhibition with a site map and student oriented information about the artists and art works. Filled with activities and interesting facts and figures the Kids' Guide is a valuable tool when exploring the exhibition providing site-specific questions to assist teachers or parents facilitate discussion about specific artworks.

Cottesloe Beach has paved areas surrounded by grass and shade making it a suitable location for the children to enjoy their lunch break after or before touring the exhibition. Please ensure that care is taken to remove all rubbish from the area. Given that any excursions will be outside, we recommend the use of suncream and sunhats for all students (and teachers too!).

A bus drop-off point is on the beach-side of Marine Drive, Cottesloe Beach. This is well within easy walking distance of the exhibition for your students.
