Programs take place on the exhibition site. 2018 exhibition dates to be announced.


Sculpture Workshops
10am-11.30am AND 12.30-2pm
A unique opportunity for students to meet and work with an exhibiting artist. Students will actively explore material, themes and sculpture making skills based on the artists’ ideas, processes and creative practise. Price includes a free Kids’ Guide Catalogue for each student.
Maximum 30 students.
Cost: $380 – Price includes a free Kid’s Guide and artists’ fee

Focus Tours
9.30-10.30am AND 11.00-12.00pm
Students will explore and engage with a selection of sculptures in the exhibition site with a Sculpture by the Sea Educator. The tour focuses on individual and group responses and developing meaning-making and visual literacy skills through interactive discussion and activities.
Maximum 15 students.
Cost: $150 per group 60mins

Artist Spotlight Talks for Secondary and Tertiary
10.30am-11.30am and 12pm-1pm
Meet and view the work of two exhibiting artists for question and answer discussion. Consider context, relationship to site, themes, materials and techniques employed in the works. An ideal case study for senior classes.
Maximum 30 students.
Cost: $190


Teachers Preview
Thursday March 4.30-6.30pm
Join the excitement – celebrate and preview this year’s exhibition on the last night of install. Meet exhibiting artists and view and discuss their work with them. Refreshments, Kids Guide, Exhibition Catalogue and Education resources will be provided.
Bookings essential as limited places available.
Cost: $15 (Free for Teachers with Program bookings)

Teachers Workshop
Wednesday March 4.30-6.30pm
Enjoy a practical sculpture making workshop with exhibiting artists developing activities based on their practice to take back to your classroom. Includes materials, educational resources and refreshments.
