Sculpture by the Sea is free to the public and is therefore a great place to bring students of all ages to view and engage with the eclectic and spectacular display of sculptures being exhibited at Cottesloe Beach. Cottesloe Beach has paved areas surrounded by grass and shade, making it a suitable location for children to enjoy snack breaks during their visit. Please ensure that care is taken to remove all rubbish from the area. Given the outdoor nature of the exhibition, we recommend the use of sunscreen and sunhats for all students (and teachers too!). For groups travelling by bus, there is a drop-off zone on the beach-side of Marine Parade, along Cottesloe Beach. This is within easy walking distance of the exhibition
The ALCOA School Education Program at Sculpture by the Sea aims to provide both students and teachers with an informative, stimulating and multi-sensory experience that will enhance the learning potential for students visiting the exhibition on excursion. Our range of Educational Programs offers participants the opportunity to explore, examine and discuss a range of creative, conceptual and artistic responses to site and landscape, form and contemporary ideas.
