We are excited to announce the recipients of the Clitheroe Foundation Emerging Sculptor Mentor Program for Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2018: Georgina Humphries (VIC), Nicole Monks (NSW) and Rhiannon West (NSW).

The mentorship program aims to encourage professional and meaningful interactions between emerging sculptors and established practitioners.

Georgina Humphries endeavours to integrate fundamental engineering principles into the design and fabrication of new works with her mentorship program with Nikki Akbari of Partridge Engineering.

Nicole Monks has chosen to be mentored by indigenous New Zealand artist Rosanna Raymond and Carly Lane, a Murri woman from Queensland who is currently the Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

Rhiannon West has chosen artist Bruce Munro as her mentor and will travel to the UK to meet and learn from him, with the intention to build on her knowledge of site-specific large-scale works.

We wish Humphries, Monks and West all the best with their Clitheroe Mentorships!
