BONDI 2015 EXHIBITING ARTISTS

Thank you to all the artists who applied to be part of Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2015. This year we received 500 submissions, from 41 countries and 6 territories around the world, including Australia. After difficult deliberations the curatorial panel comprising of Geoffrey EdwardsDr. Michael Hill, Jesper Rasmussen and Dr Nien Schwarz, have selected the artists who will exhibit at this year’s exhibition.
While we won’t release the names of the artists until closer to the show, we are happy to share with you this world map of where the artists are from.

DECADE CLUB ARTISTS

It is a significant commitment for an artist to exhibit in Sculpture by the Seaonce. To exhibit with us many times means the artist has committed much of their career to creating new sculptures for our exhibitions, almost always at considerable personal financial risk, as well as the artists risk of putting their work on display outdoors before their peers, the public and the critics. To recognise the commitment of those artists who have exhibited inSculpture by the Sea, Bondi 10 times or more we created our Decade Club. It has now become a tradition. In early September each year we hold a dinner where each new member is welcomed and where they tell their story. To thank each of the artists who are currently members of the Decade Club we have included  an image of one of their works and a comment of whatSculpture by the Sea means to them.
