Thank you to the large number of emerging, mid-career and senior artists and art students who joined free artist information sessions in Perth recently to hear how to apply for the annual Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2019 exhibition and generally to gain an insight into Sculpture by the Sea including exhibition opportunities to artists such as awards, subsidies, media, sculpture sales, professional support and mentorship.

Thank you to all those who submitted applications for Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2019! We look forward to announcing the accepted artists in the coming months.

David Handley, AM, Founding Director and Ella Hayes, Sculpture Sales Business Manager, presented talks at Artsource and Edith Cowan University. At ECU the application process and technical considerations of exhibiting in a large, outdoor group exhibition were explained to the students.  Opportunities provided by exhibiting alongside important work by notable internationally acclaimed sculptors was discussed and was particularly pertinent given that the students were currently studying the practice of Tony Cragg, who exhibited Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2017.
